Please read my short story, if you’d like.
It’s a tad bit profane, and might drag on for a bit :[
But please don’t let that make you shy away!
Adam is just an average guy that seems out of luck and out of touch with the world. With his job not making his life any better, he’s struggling to make ends meet, and even gets threatened to get kicked out of his apartment by his roommate, Abigail. When things seem like they couldn’t get any worse, Adam’s life as he knows it changes, and all of the first world problems he thought he had wouldn’t compare to the things that he was about to face
Love a little love for pain
Shove your sugar skulls
To melt and cry
With little blue
Blood droplets
Staining the ground
Spotting the sky
Simultaneous brain fry
Cerebration sparks
Plugged
Nerves
Tied
Money tight zeitgeist
Killing causes we entail
Brimming to the brink
Voiceless, volatile
Silent molotov cocktail
Sparking in the sink
I kept stabbing myself with her words
Which were as sharp as knives
The punctures stole more than oxygen
To put it simply
They fucking hurt
They stole every beautiful moment with her
Every gorgeous time
And ground it to diamond dust and dirt
I’d like to pry
This obsession apart
If I can take a crowbar
I’d wedge this hope
That would never happen
From my heart
Can’t wait for the end and the beginning
When Summer hits it’s peak
When Autumn’s leaves fall
When the breath from chests cease
When hands lock in awe
With delicate firmness
And a squeeze of reassurance
In Summer, she won’t let me fall.
My mind is just a bucket of gray matter
Of whites and blacks mixed in a jar
Until time crackles and
Develops these
Valleys of scars
Having trees of
Good and bad
Shaken until these apples
Called marbles fall on glass floor
Despite her silhouette edging moons
Sickle of a smile slicing suns
With those vexing, deceptive lips
Lies crumbling from those fragile cliffs
She kissed those lies numb
Then mind turned with hips
He left my world
And only one headline
Would describe his days
Only one newspaper
For his departure
And the world just turns without pause
